Project in the school preparatory group “Wintering Birds” project (preparatory group) on the topic

Introduction

In the nature of our region, all four seasons are clearly expressed.
Moreover, the cold period lasts more than six months and wintering birds adorn the frosty, snow-covered landscapes. They attract people's attention with their bright and black and white plumage, varied singing, and lively behavior. Hunger and cold drive forest birds and birds that avoid people to fly to villages and cities where they can find food. And only in winter can children see: an owl, a crow, a woodpecker, birds of prey, in a city park and square. Meeting flocks of waxwings and bullfinches evokes admiration and aesthetic pleasure in children, a desire to admire the bright plumage and listen to the gentle sounds of their singing.

With the help of adults, children will gain knowledge about wintering birds from:

  • natural history literature;
  • games;
  • classes;
  • observations;
  • excursions.

On frosty days, feathered friends huddle close to human habitation and visit feeders built by humans, i.e. are in close proximity to people. This makes it possible to get “closely acquainted” with wintering birds and observe them.

Children will learn that it is more difficult for birds to get food in winter because... no insects or plant foods. Sometimes natural food becomes practically unavailable and many birds cannot survive the winter and die. Therefore, bird friends should stock up on food for the winter: berries, weed seeds, grain; arrange feeders, monitor them and replenish them regularly with food.

Many migratory birds left our region in search of warmth and affordable food, and wintering birds remained with us to share the hardships of winter and delight us with their singing and cheerful antics.

In order for children from an early age to: take care of the surrounding nature, take care of “our little brothers,” it is necessary to give children knowledge about wintering birds, teach them to observe, compare, analyze, care for them, feed them, take care of them, be surprised and admire them.

Relevance of the topic:

The topic of introducing preschoolers to wintering birds is very relevant at the present time. Children living in the city are very far from nature. They live nearby and don’t notice: a crow paces, sparrows chirp, pigeons peck at weed seeds. Not only children, but also many adults cannot distinguish a goldfinch from a siskin.

It would seem that they are familiar: crows, jackdaws, and pigeons cannot surprise children with anything unusual, but this is the ecological task: to find something interesting and entertaining in ordinary things.

People's consumerist attitude towards nature has led to disastrous results in the environmental situation: the extermination of many species of birds, their death in severe frosts from lack of food, poisoning by chemical waste, etc.

The task of parents and educators from an early age is to instill in children a caring attitude towards birds and show them their role in the ecosystem. It is possible to solve this problem if: together with the children, make feeders, store birdseed for the winter, feed the birds in the winter.

Goal: To develop the cognitive activity of children by introducing them to natural objects of their native land - wintering birds.

Tasks:

  1. To form children’s knowledge about wintering birds of their native land.
  2. Show the variety of species of wintering birds, their structure, size, plumage color, habits.
  3. Reveal the dependence of the external structure of wintering birds and their habits on their adaptability to life in the cold season.
  4. Show how wintering birds obtain food during the cold season. Learn to classify them according to their feeding method: granivores, insectivores, herbivores, carnivores and omnivores.
  5. Help to understand the habitats of wintering birds: in the city, outside the city, in the forest.
  6. Involve children in environmental activities: making feeders, collecting food, winter feeding of birds.
  7. Foster a love of nature and respect for all living things.

Project “Wintering Birds”

Relevance.

In modern conditions, the problem of environmental education of preschool children becomes particularly acute and relevant. It is during preschool childhood that the beginnings of ecological culture are formed. Therefore, it is very important to awaken children’s interest in living nature, cultivate a love for it, and teach them to take care of the world around them.

Winter time is not only about cheerful holidays, lively slides and desperate snowball fights, but also severe frosts with a piercing wind. During the cold season, wintering birds face vital questions: how to feed themselves. The available food is becoming significantly less, but the need for it is increasing. Sometimes natural food becomes practically unavailable, so many birds cannot survive the winter and die.

Our task is to introduce children to the birds wintering in our area, their species and characteristics; teach how to take care of birds and help them in the cold winter.

Working with parents:

Release of leaflets, booklets: “Feed the birds in winter!”, “Help the birds”

Organization of the exhibition “The best bird feeder”.

Stage 3 - final

— Registration of project results in the form of a presentation,

— presentation of a report on the “Help the Birds!” campaign

Report on the event “Help the Birds!”

The action was attended by: children of the preparatory group, senior teacher Puzanova I.N., teacher Solovyova N.V., parents of students.

On the territory of the preschool educational institution, 14 feeders were hung, made by parents from various materials: wooden feeder houses, feeders made from boxes, from plastic bottles.

During the campaign, the following work was carried out:

  • Daily feeding of birds;
  • Observing their behavior;
  • Using different feeds;
  • Accounting for the number of birds and their species.

Tits were the first to begin mastering the feeders. At first they approached the feeders with caution and looked around for a long time, but gradually they got used to it and stopped being afraid of children. The sparrows flew in in a small flock. At the feeder they fight, scream, and argue over food. If tits flew to the feeder, the sparrows flew away, as if giving way to them. Bullfinches flew to the feeder. They behaved warily and flew away at the slightest approach of the children. Magpies and crows flew in alone and did not sit on the feeders. They collected food below, under the feeders. A flock of pigeons flew in. They collected food under feeding troughs, and sometimes approached the children at a distance of up to two meters. Waxwings flew to the site in the absence of children and did not sit on the feeders.

During the event the following people flew to the feeders:

  • Tits – 30;
  • Bullfinches – 4;
  • Sparrows – 15;
  • Crows – 11;
  • Pigeons – 14;
  • Waxwings – 13;
  • Magpies - 7.

As a result of the work, the children learned:

  • What types of birds remain to spend the winter in our area, and which ones fly to us for the winter;
  • How to distinguish birds by color;
  • What food do birds prefer?

The following conclusions were drawn:

  • Birds become noticeable and more active as the weather warms up; the brighter the sun shines, the more birds there are on the street, the more active they are;
  • Birds do not fly on windy days;
  • As food, pigeons and sparrows prefer seeds, and tits prefer lard;
  • Sparrows, pigeons, waxwings fly in flocks, tits in 3-4 groups, magpies, crows - alone;
  • 7 species of birds visited the feeder;
  • During the project, the birds have become accustomed to receiving food, so feeding must be continued.

Project progress

Statement of the problem, entering into a game situation.

Educator: Children, today a bird, a rock dove, knocked on our window with its beak. I really love birds and study their language, so I understood what the dove said.

He asked to eat something, because in the cold winter it is very difficult to find food. I poured him a handful of seeds and the dove cooed happily. He told me that there were still a lot of birds outside that were very cold and hungry.

Are you ready to feed them? But we must remember that each bird prefers its own food.

Do you think we can figure out: how to distinguish one bird from another, where they live, what they eat, how and where to feed them?

Discussion of the problem of accepting a task.

Educator: What should you do to learn more about wintering birds?

Children: (answer options) Read books, look at: albums, postcards and magazines, draw wintering birds, make crafts, collect collections of pictures and drawings. Learn new things in classes, on hikes and excursions.

Project in kindergarten in the senior group. Wintering birds

Project “Wintering birds of our region”
“Nature is the only book, every page is full of deep content” I.V. Goethe 1. Brief abstract of the project: Preschool childhood is a crucial period of human life: the foundations of a correct attitude towards the surrounding world (nature) are laid , things, people), value orientation in it. Fostering love and respect for the native land and nature is the most important component of moral education. To raise a good citizen who wants to protect and protect nature, you need to know it. Forming an understanding that man is part of nature, he must preserve, protect and defend it, that everything in nature is interconnected. Developing the ability to behave correctly in nature and protect it. 2. Project type: Educational, creative, short-term. Implementation time: 2 weeks. Project participants: children of the senior group of kindergarten, teachers. Venue: group, kindergarten area. 3. Relevance of the project: In modern conditions, the problem of moral, labor and environmental education of preschool children becomes particularly acute and relevant. It is during preschool childhood that the formation of human personality occurs. Therefore, it is very important to awaken in children an interest in living nature, to cultivate a love for it, to teach them to protect the world around them and take care of it. The theme of the project “Birds in Winter” was not chosen by chance. After all, it is birds that surround us all year round, bringing benefits and joy to people. During the cold season, there is significantly less available food, but the need for it increases. Sometimes natural food becomes practically unavailable, so many birds cannot survive the winter and die. And we, teachers, together with parents, must teach children to see this, expanding their understanding of wintering birds, their habits and way of life, and create conditions for the child to communicate with the natural world. 4. Statement of the problem Insufficient understanding of children about wintering birds. Children do not have enough understanding of the lifestyle, habits, nutrition and homes of wintering birds, and how they feed in the winter. 5. Goals and objectives of the project: To cultivate a careful, caring, responsible attitude towards wintering birds, to form ecological knowledge about them. Project objectives: for children:
to expand children’s knowledge about wintering birds, to form a caring, responsible attitude towards the natural world, basic environmental knowledge;
cultivate a desire to help birds in difficult winter conditions; learn to reflect your attitude to the natural world in productive activities. for parents:
to create activity and interest in the educational process;
involve in the manufacture of bird feeders and their feeding; teach parents to show their children by personal example how to treat nature with care, protect and care for it. for teachers:
to replenish the subject-development environment on the topic of the project, to introduce effective methods and techniques into the educational process to expand children’s knowledge about wintering birds.
6. Expected result: for children:
have an idea of wintering birds;
understand that it is easier for birds to endure harsh winters when people take care of them; know how to make a feeding trough together with their parents; they know how and what food to feed the birds; are able to observe and analyze their own activities; show care and responsibility towards the environment. for parents:
show great interest in the life of children in kindergarten;
assist the child in performing creative work; active project participants. for teachers:
closer cooperation with the families of pupils.
7. Activities for project implementation: Stage 1 Preparatory Setting project goals, determining knowledge, relevance of the project; selection of methodological literature, visual and didactic material, fiction, photographs; organization of a development environment. Project: “Wintering Birds”

Project type: informational and creative.

Report on the event “Help the Birds!”

The action was attended by: children of the preparatory group, teacher Ivanova N.A., parents of the students.

On the territory of the preschool educational institution, 5 feeders were hung, made by parents from various materials: wooden feeder houses, feeders made from boxes, from plastic bottles.

During the campaign, the following work was carried out:

  • Daily feeding of birds;
  • Observing their behavior;
  • Using different feeds;
  • Accounting for the number of birds and their species.
  • Tits were the first to begin mastering the feeders.

  • Tits – 35;
  • Bullfinches – 4;
  • Sparrows – 25;
  • Crows – 9;
  • Pigeons – 14;
  • Magpies - 3.
  • As a result of the work, the children learned:

  • What types of birds remain to spend the winter in our area, and which ones fly to us for the winter;
  • How to distinguish birds by color;
  • What food do birds prefer? The most beautiful birds in the world.

The following conclusions were drawn:

  • Birds become noticeable and more active as the weather warms up; the brighter the sun shines, the more birds there are on the street, the more active they are;
  • Birds do not fly on windy days;
  • As food, pigeons and sparrows prefer seeds, and tits prefer lard;
  • Sparrows, pigeons fly in flocks, tits in 3-4 groups, magpies, crows - alone;
  • 6 species of birds visited the feeder;
  • During the project, the birds have become accustomed to receiving food, so feeding must be continued.
