You didn’t know how to read yet, but you were already looking at pictures in books, listening to fairy tales, funny and entertaining stories and stories. They were read to you by your mothers, fathers and grandmothers. Now you encounter a book every day: at school, at home. Books are always near you. This is good. The books will tell you about whatever you want to know and answer any question. Whatever you want to become, books will help. Books are your faithful, reliable helpers, and you should treat them as true friends. Today you begin an exciting journey into the Kingdom of Books. But the door to this Kingdom will not open until you guess a few of my secrets. Secret 1. What is the name of the house where we entered? (Library). Secret 2. What is it? She speaks silently, but it is understandable and not boring. Talk to her more often and you will become four times smarter. (Book). Secret 3. And Chernomor, and Tsar Guidon, and good grandfather Mazai. What is this house called? Try it and guess! (Library). Secret 4. Although not a hat, but with a brim, Not a flower, but with a spine. Speaks to us in a patient language. (Book).

4 (All the secrets have been solved. The door opens and the children go into the library, music sounds.) Presenter: (Introduces the children to the library). And so, the library is the house of books. This is where books, your true friends, live and make friends with each other. The library has a lot of magazines and books, all this is called the book collection. And in order for us to quickly find the book we need, each book is in its place, that is, in alphabetical order (show with an example). In other words, we can say that each book has its own house and its own apartment. Of course, a librarian will help you navigate well in this world of books. In the library you can read books, magazines, look at pictures, and you can also take them and read them at home. Librarian: Guys, if you go to this corner, what did you see there? (children's answers). That's right, these are books for children in grades 1-2. Here on the shelves are your favorite fairy tales. (You can have a quiz). Host: I, like no one else, know that. Alone, at peace. Book heroes are dozing. On the pages of your books. Awaken them to life! Why should they suffer from boredom! (A quiz is held.) Quiz. 1. Librarian: Now guys, let's look at this exhibition. Our exhibition is called: “The Book Thanks”, “The Book Complains”. (It presents the same editions, but in different degrees of preservation). Now I will tell you what happened to these books. Books are like people: they are born, they live, they grow old. Just like people, they can get sick. And when they get sick, they need treatment. And all doctors know: it is easier to prevent any disease than to cure it, and they advise you to take care of your health. And you and I need books and textbooks: what? Protect. Host: Do we all know how to take care of books? Look at your textbooks. Look at your neighbors' textbooks. You see that some of the guys have clean and neat textbooks. It is very important. Next year, your younger friends, your sisters and brothers will be able to study using such textbooks. Let's first look at the book exhibition: “The Book Complains.” These are damaged library books. They visited slobs, guys who don’t know how to take care of books. This book is sick: my brother tore it up. I will feel sorry for the sick woman: I will take her and glue her together!

6 Librarian: For damaged books, we have a “Book Hospital”. It employs kind and attentive doctors. They glue the cover and glue in the fallen sheets. This is what happens if books reach a reader who does not know the rules for handling them. What are these rules? (Children can tell). - You can’t bend books. — You can’t fold book pages. - You cannot put pencils or pens in books. What is the name of the thing that you need to use when reading books? BOOKMARK. - You can’t write or draw in books. — You can’t read books while eating. Librarian: And here is our second exhibition “The Book Gives Thanks.” These books have also been visited by readers more than once, but remain clean and tidy. If you choose a book, which exhibition will you choose from? Of course, from the second. It's always nice to read a clean book. Take care of your books, children! This is your first friend. Once you read these books, everything around you will become clear. Most of all, books love to be treated with care. They love cleanliness very much. To become real readers, you need to know the rules for using the library. How should you behave in the library? Why? Rule 1. You must be quiet in the library, because... noise disturbs other readers. Rule 2. Books must be returned on time, because other readers are waiting for them. You can borrow a book from our library for 10 days. Rule 3. Library books must be handled with special care so that as many children as possible can read them. Rule 4. Library books must not be lost, otherwise there will not be a single book left in the school library. Rule 5. Books in the library (from the open access collection) must be placed exactly in the place where you got them. Otherwise, the librarian will not be able to find this book for another student. Guys, what other rules should there be in the library? (children's answers). Reading rules. READ AND REMEMBER! -Before you start reading, sit down correctly! — Never read while eating, lying down, or when ill.

7 lighting! - Don't rush while reading! Read calmly and carefully! Guys, now a 4th grade student (.) will tell us a poem, let's listen to her. Knizhkin house library. Each of the guys knows: There are hundreds of books neatly on the shelves. If you took a book from the shelf to read at home, then don’t tear it up or crumple the leaves. And don't even think about drawing. I took the book for ten days - So read it quickly. After all, your friends. Everyone should read it. If you have read the book, then don’t hide it in the chest of drawers, bring it and hand it in quickly. Let the people read it. I took the book from the library - Answer for it: Don’t trust it to your younger sisters and brothers. (V.V. Borisov). Guys, look what I'm holding in my hands. This is a reader's form, guys, where all the books you read throughout your school life are recorded. Guys, our lesson is coming to an end. Today you learned a lot: about the library, that you need to take care of books, you learned about the rules of reading, about the rules of conduct in the library. And in conclusion, I want to ask you a few tricky riddles: 1. Where is your ball gown? Where is the glass slipper?
