ORGANIZING AND CONDUCTING HOLIDAYS AND ENTERTAINMENT IN KINDERGARTEN Consultation for teachers

Memo “Organization and conduct of matinees in kindergarten”

Organization and holding of matinees in kindergarten.

Everyone loves holidays, but children especially adore them. Festive matinees in kindergarten are an important part of the educational process carried out in kindergarten. They actively influence the formation of the preschooler’s personality, allow him to demonstrate his skills, abilities, creative initiative, and sum up a certain result of pedagogical work. Therefore, preparation for the holiday, its holding and consolidation of the impressions received by children can be considered as parts of one single pedagogical process. Well-organized holidays have a beneficial effect on the development of mental processes: memory, attention, create an excellent situation for the development of a child’s speech, for consolidating knowledge acquired in various classes, and contribute to moral education. In kindergarten, matinees are not only an entertaining event, but a lot of difficult preparatory work. Matinees, like any other event, have both positive and negative sides. Firstly, children bear a heavy burden, both moral and physical. Preparation takes a lot of time and effort, often children take on a completely new role for themselves. Children need support from both teachers and parents. ATTENTION: The opinion of those parents who believe that they can not take their child to music classes, but only bring them to a matinee, is deeply mistaken.

Nothing but troubles will result for the child (due to ignorance of the material, inability to perform the simplest dance movements, ignorance of the words of songs, inability to change positions correctly and on time). The child gets upset, confused, nervous, often cries, and interferes with other children.

Both parents and children look forward to kindergarten holidays.
Children are happy that their parents will come to see them, and parents are given the opportunity to plunge into their own childhood memories. But matinees in kindergarten are held not only to please parents and students, immersing them in a festive atmosphere. There are other, more important goals and reasons. Goals of organizing the holiday
.
The main goal of the holiday in a preschool educational institution is the formation of emotions and feelings, which are the most important condition for personal development. The holiday integrates various types of art: music, literary expression, dramatization, visual arts. We explain one form of art to another; one art interacts with another, performing in a single ensemble; works of different artistic specificity mutually complement each other. Therefore, the holiday, first of all, develops aesthetic feelings in children, an aesthetic attitude towards the surrounding reality; allows each child to discover new abilities and talents and develop existing skills; develops such mental processes as activity, self-confidence, ability to work in a team, cultivates moral, ethical, patriotic qualities. Children are united by common experiences, they are taught the foundations of collectivism; works of folklore, participation in holidays and entertainment form discipline and a culture of behavior in preschoolers. Preparing for the holiday is an excellent incentive for children in speech and music classes. Children learn songs, poems and dance movements for a reason, but in order to later demonstrate all their skills to their parents at a children’s party, and even receive gifts for this, which also occupy an important place in the child’s motivation. Thus, the teacher can always explain to the child why this or that activity is being done and why he needs to try. And when a child has a specific incentive, he will study harder. Preparation for the holiday.
Preparation for holidays and entertainment is carried out systematically and systematically, without disturbing the general rhythm of life of the kindergarten, to meet the interests of children, and to take into account their age and individual capabilities. The duration of the holiday depends on its content and the age characteristics of the children taking part in it. For children of primary and secondary preschool age, the duration of the holiday is from 20 to 30 minutes, for older and preparatory age no more than 40 minutes.

Parental objections and working with them

In the process of preparing for the matinee and after it, you may have to deal with the displeasure of some parents. Let's look at the main objections and how to work with them.

The child was not given the main role

As a rule, the “wrong role” upsets not the children, but the parents. Contrary to the belief that teachers give the best roles to their favorites, in fact, teachers distribute poems and numbers taking into account the child’s real capabilities. They know how the child will behave in front of the public, how clearly he pronounces words, how he navigates the order of performances.

To smooth out the negativity, offer to learn a long poem and tell it to Santa Claus when presenting gifts. This way the child will receive maximum attention from the main character of the holiday.

Appearance

Discuss the dress code for the matinee with your parents in advance. Tell them that the proposed costumes or uniforms correspond to the scenario, and that the child should like the festive outfit, first of all.

The child is afraid of Santa Claus, Baba Yaga or another character

Impressionable kids who come to the New Year's party for the first time may be afraid of one of the characters. Although rare, it does happen. In order not to break the script and not spoil the impression for the child himself, let him sit quietly with his mother or assistant. Under no circumstances try to introduce him to a hero he is afraid of.

If parents are not at the party

It is very important for the kids that someone close to them was in the room. To be looked at, to be applauded, to be supported. If mom or dad can’t attend, ask to invite grandparents, older sister, aunt - any close person. At the same time, parents should explain to their child that there is an important reason why they cannot come. This makes them very sad, but then they will definitely watch the holiday video with their child.

When a child forgot words

An awkward situation, when a child painfully tries to remember the words of a poem or song, sooner or later happens at any matinee. Usually, this happens to children whose parents prepared them very carefully for the performance. To avoid overdoing the preparation at home, talk to parents correctly and carefully about how children are afraid of not meeting their expectations.

New Year's party is a holiday for children. When preparing for performances, neither parents nor educators should forget about this.

Basic rules for holding a New Year's party for children of different groups

Junior age category

  • the morning time is chosen for the celebration,
  • the matinee lasts 20-25 minutes, including time for presenting gifts,
  • The holiday is accompanied by a teacher and an assistant.

You shouldn’t invite moms and dads to a celebration for kids 2-3 years old so that the children don’t get distracted. It’s better to make a video or video - parents will watch it later.

At this age, many children consciously see a large decorated Christmas tree for the first time, and some consciously meet Father Frost and the Snow Maiden for the first time. Therefore, Santa Claus can be replaced with familiar fairy tale characters if there is a risk that the elegant, impressive Santa will scare the children. The role of the Snow Maiden is usually played by one of the teachers. Her task is simple - take the kids to the Christmas tree, sing a song with them, show them toys, and organize a New Year's round dance.

Important! The program of the New Year's party for children aged 2-3 years always includes a surprise moment - the lighting of garlands on the Christmas tree.

Middle and senior groups

It is recommended to spend 34-45 minutes celebrating the New Year in these groups, including presenting gifts. The celebration can be held before lunch or in the afternoon. For children over 3 years old, the script is usually more complicated: it is based on a familiar fairy tale, but the number of characters increases and some of the roles are assigned to children.

The performance includes songs, poetry recitations, round dances and dialogue scenes in Russian and English. Relay races and games are selected from among active competitions, and roles are distributed so that each child can reveal his or her talent.

Important! By the age of 4-5, children are actively interested in cartoon characters and many strive to be like them. Take this into account when drawing up a scenario and creating a dress code for the holiday. It is advisable to choose the same gifts for children of each age group: universal, equally interesting for boys and girls. Also, the gift should not contain factory-made sweets and fruits.

At the New Year's party for older groups, it is necessary to constantly maintain interest in what is happening. Switching from one type of activity to another helps here, as well as including surprise moments in the script. In order not to tire the children, the program numbers are rehearsed separately from each other, and before the event there is one dress rehearsal.

Getting ready for the holiday

Children's matinees require careful preparation. Of course, the lion's share of the work falls on the shoulders of teachers. However, the comfort of the child’s stay at the event depends on the parents. There are no small details here.

First, make sure your child is an active participant in the activity. To do this, study the children's repertoire and repeat it at home. You should not miss rehearsals, participating only in the holiday itself. Your child will concentrate not on emotions, but on correct execution, and this will affect the quality and impressions.

Secondly, choose a costume that matches the overall theme of the holiday so that the clothing is appropriate. Choose a costume together with your child; it is important that the child likes the chosen outfit.

Thirdly, take care of the child's comfort. Clothes and shoes should be light, as the child will have to move a lot. At the same time, the baby should not be hot or cold, he should not experience discomfort associated with the details of the costume.

Fourth, think about your role at the holiday. Children are very pleased if their parents take an active part.
