Festive applications for Victory Day
The great holiday of May 9 should never be forgotten. And it shouldn’t leave anyone indifferent either. And it’s very great that you support your child’s respect for this great day! Well, we will try to help you and give you ideas on how you can make beautiful holiday applications for Victory Day. Choose any!
Application May 9
- To make such an applique we will need the following tools and materials: a sheet of thick dark paper, a piece of white cardboard, a piece of red fabric, scissors, glue, pink, red, white, yellow and green yarn, a crochet hook.
- For the background of the application we will use thick black or brown paper.
- We cut out a rectangle from white cardboard so that its dimensions are smaller than the dimensions of the prepared background, and glue it onto a dark background.
Cut out a rectangle of red fabric so that its dimensions are smaller than the size of the white rectangle, and glue it onto the white rectangle. We get a red flag in a white frame. Now let's decorate the flag.
Glue pieces of yellow thread around the red flag and glue them into a five-pointed star. We will cover the middle of the star with red thread. Glue the silhouettes of the inscription
- “9 May” and other details made of yellow, green, white and red threads.
- We will knit chains of red, green, pink and white threads, make a stem, flowers and flower leaves out of them and glue them to red cardboard.
- Gently blot the application and let it dry.
- The application is ready.
Volume applique for May 9 Red carnations
This applique can be made from green and red colored paper. In addition to paper, we will need scissors, glue, watercolor paints, a piece of light wallpaper and thick paper for the background.
Prepare a sheet of thick black paper for the background.
On the background we will paste a rectangular piece of wallpaper in light colors with a dense texture.
Let's cut long pieces of thick green paper and glue the stem and leaves for the flower from them. Let's glue them.
Let's make the flowers red. To do this, cut out several circles of equal diameters from red paper. Trim the circles around the edges to create sharp carnation petals. Glue several circles on top of each other and bend them in half.
We will get a three-dimensional applique of a carnation flower.
Let's prepare three such flowers and glue them to the stems.
All that remains is to write the words “May 9” and “Victory” with red watercolors. The application is ready.
The applique will turn out very beautiful if the carnations are made from corrugated paper.
Application for Victory Day “Daisies”
- The applique can be made from colored paper.
- First, you need to cut 16 white and 8 red strips of equal length from paper, fold each strip in half and glue each 8 strips so that all ends of the strips converge at one point, forming daisy petals.
- Glue the yellow core onto the petals.
- Cut out daisy stems from green paper.
Make the leaves in the form of green flags with yellow stripes glued on. Wrap the flag leaves around the stem, and stick all this - stems and flowers - onto the background - a sheet of thick black paper. The application is ready.
You can use fabric instead of paper. You can glue fabric to fabric using a hot iron. You can do it like this.
Place several sheets of newspaper on the table. Place a background on the newspaper - fabric or thick paper. A piece of cellophane is placed on the fabric, applique details are placed on it, and then clean white paper is placed. Iron all this with a hot iron. Then remove excess pieces of cellophane.

- First you need to prepare all the details for the applique from newspaper, and then cut out these parts from corrugated paper.
- The background of the application will be thick blue paper.

Application for Victory Day with kids
- Our whole country is preparing for the great holiday Victory Day
. - The guys do it with their teachers, parents, and
- models, exhibitions, drawings, crafts.
- But what can be done with children 2.5 years old?
- How to explain to them what Victory Day is?
Today in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk it was very cold, it was raining, we had nowhere to rush.
We got down to business, and this is what we came up with.
During a quiet hour, I made blanks for the appliqués: I cut out clouds, St. George ribbons, and flowers. Well, we traced the bird-palms together, and I immediately cut them out in front of the children. Pigeons are birds of peace!
I tried to tell the children, in a form they could understand, what Victory Day is: this is a holiday that everyone loves, expects, there will be a lot of flowers and balloons. All people will go to the parade, and in the evening there will be fireworks!
Most children like to glue, many are ready to re-glue everything! How glad they were that this was not all, we would still glue flowers.
I am glad that the children understand, are trying to finish the work, are already running to the reception with drawings, and know that we are going to do an exhibition.
Today Arkasha’s mother, Elena Anatolyevna, joined us. Looking at the photo, you can see how happy the son is that his mother is gluing flowers with him. Happy moments!
The work turned out wonderful! Simple, but completely independent, I only helped to glue the ribbon evenly in the beak.
- Dove - a symbol of peace
- You are a symbol of peace and goodness,
- My Dove is white and free!
- Remind people it's time
- End the war already!
- Fly above the clouds!
- Let everyone hear us:
- Only peace is more important than all fundamental

Educator:
Guys, during the war, houses burned and collapsed, many people died. Men went to fight, to defend their homeland. And women and children worked day and night so that the soldiers had clothing, food, and weapons. (Phonogram of the song “Holy War”, showing pictures).
The war brought a lot of grief. The Nazis completely burned some small towns and villages. There was not a single house or person left.
With great difficulty, at the cost of many of our compatriots who died, our defenders finally managed to defeat their enemies. They drove the enemy out of our land, all the way to Berlin. And on this very day they announced victory over the enemy.
There is a monument to a Russian soldier in Berlin. Since then, every year on this day our people celebrate Victory Day. There is no more war on our land.
The wars that defeated the Nazis and liberated our land from enemies are already very old guys now. We all owe a huge debt to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. All veterans receive respect and honor. The war, which interrupted the lives of more than 50 million people, has long gone into history. And we all wish our dear veterans V.O.V.
good health, and express our gratitude and respect. (Phonogram of the song “Victory Day”). Now we will talk about the hero city Volgograd (Stalingrad). Until 1925 it was called Tsaritsyn, from 1961 - Volgograd (Stalingrad). During the 143-day battles, Nazi aviation dropped about 1 million bombs on Stalingrad.
The victory of Soviet troops over fascist troops at Stalingrad is one of the most glorious pages in the chronicles of the Great Patriotic War. The Battle of Stalingrad lasted 200 days. This battle, guys, is the decisive battle of the entire second war. There are a lot of monuments in Stalingrad related to the events of 1942-43.
: “Mass graves with the Eternal Flame in Mamayev Kurgan”, “Pavlov’s House” - House of Soldier’s Glory, and many other monuments.
On May 9, 1945, the Great Patriotic War ended. The war ended in Germany, in the city of Berlin, where the flag was raised over the Reichstag. This meant Russia's victory over Germany.
The whole people rejoiced at the victory, but many cried because they knew that their relatives, friends, and comrades died before they lived to see the Victory. Many soldiers died, many did not return from the war, but the feat they accomplished defending their homeland is not forgotten. Monuments were erected to the fallen soldiers.
And every year on May 9, people come to the monuments and bring flowers, thereby thanking the fallen soldiers for their feat.
